The Sweeney Todd lyric thread inspired me to finally make this thread. Feel free to ask questions about theatre, text, or lyrics that you've always been too sheepish to ask about. I'll start!
I have never understood the lyric "I think I missed- don't get pissed" from RENT. Can someone explain?

From an Anthony Rapp fan site:
"There are varied answers to this. Some say that she missed with a vibrator or dildo, but some think this is dumb. She wouldn’t THINK she missed, she’d KNOW. Others say that she thinks she missed the dental dam or barrier they were using, but don’t get pissed, because she also doesn’t think that put Joanne in any danger."
I don't think any of that makes sense, but there you go.
I've also heard that she "missed" her "window" for an orgasm. I've never received a satisfactory explanation!

Assuming there is a specific answer...
The line would make more sense if a guy said it.
But even if a guy "missed," why would the other person get "pissed"? You'd just re-insert, no?
Mmm... no. I was thinking more along the lines of a guy missing his intended target when he finished. When did BWW come to this?!?
