Fosse76 that is part of a subscription package and for the cheapest seats, it's not much of a deal.

Yeah, it's a huge bargain compared to New York. But to be fair, the package that he's referring to doesn't allow you to choose Jersey Boys as one of your shows and the seats you get are in the back 3 or 4 rows of the top balcony (still extremely cheap compared to NYC).

On the other hand, you can buy the 6-musical subscription from Shea's Buffalo across the border and get the top-priced tickets for about the same amount as you'd pay for the worst seats with Dancap.

Comparing the prices of Dancap to Mirvish is kind of like apples and oranges, though. Dancap is almost all recent Broadway or West End musicals, while Mirvish usually fills out their subscription package with smaller shows that no one would pay premium prices for otherwise.

The cheapest seat for Jersey Boys on Broadway (not including student rush) is $96.50. It's a huge deal in comparison. The Drowsy Chaperone does have $25 seats, but they are in the rear (and are only the last few rows, if not only the last), but the next lowest price is $85. It is still a bargain compared to Broadway.

Of course, keep in mind that the TCA (where they're hoping Jersey Boys will play) is a much larger auditorium than the August Wilson. The best price you can get for the mid-range seats for Jersey Boys is $82.50 and that's for the Wednesday matinee and only if you commit to the six-show subscription. Those put you in the upper balcony or at the very back of orchestra. Again, it's cheap compared to NYC, but not compared to other subscription packages.
