Posted: 11/14/06 at 7:59pmAvenue Q will probably have a low-grade tour as well as major productions in major cities. San Diego will have its own sit-down production and I wouldn't be surprised if The Ahmanson in LA gets its own production.

That's great news that Sweeney is going to tour!
I can't wait to see it whenever it gets round to where I am.

Posted: 11/14/06 at 9:21pmI heard the Sweeney tour will be small, like the Caroline, or Change tour. I wish it were a bigger tour cause I doubt it will come anywhere near me (Alabama), but I hope it does well.

I just checked broadwayacrossamerica.com and St. Petersburg listed Sweeny Todd, 10 Tenors, Camelot, and Wedding Singer.

The Ahmanson is way too big and Ahmanson needs shows because Wicked is at the Pantages.

Posted: 11/15/06 at 1:19amSweeney Todd was rumored to start in San Francisco, The Color Purple will remain in Chicago for six months (though I only see tickets available until July 2007..but we shall see), Avenue Q is supposed to start next year, The Wedding Singer will start next year, and The Drowsy Chaperone is supposed to tour next season I believe...

Amanson Theater has a full schedule of shows:
The Light in the Piazza
Who's Afraid of Virgina Wolf
12 Angry Men
Edward Scissorhands
and Jersey Boys
Avenue Q will probably never do another sit down production again. It bombed in Vegas, so I doubt they would spend the money to have it bomb somewhere else. It's going to do a small tour now from what I have heard.
