I know that Wicked and Rent tours had lotto, and I am unsure of any others. But does anyone think that the new tours should have lottery or rush? I know many people down south can't see shows because of the price.
Yes, other tours have had lotto and rush.
And oh, those poor people down South. *strums banjo, since stereotyping appears to be the thing to do in this thread*

I don't know about tours, but the theaters near me all have a student rush for every broadway-style musical they hold.
Maybe the shows do not announce them, but theatres do offer rushes, limited views, and student discounts in the South. I guess it all depends on where you want to see a show (I've seen most of my Broadway shows in Georgia and Alabama). I have since moved for college, but I continue to rush tours in St. Louis.

What in the world does living in the south have to do with it!?
I have seen touring shows in Boston and they offer at least student rush.

Sorry, by "south" I meant to say everywhere that's not NYC.. that was just an example because I live in the south, haha. No stereotyping here.
And I know majority of places have student discounts, but I meant general lotto
I'm from Dallas...I have no trouble affording my tours...

I don't either, but I know many people do. And even if someone can afford tours, it would be nice to have the opportunity to have a further discount.
Of course it would be "nice" -- but in the same way that it would be nice for me to get a new Lexus for the same price as a used Kia. (No slight to the Kia -- I love mine.)
If I can't afford something, well, I just don't buy it. Or attend.
And lastly, rush/lotto isn't something you can demand....it's their product, they can sell it how they see fit.
Does the Les Mis tour have a student rush/lottery?
I think it depends on the venue.

Yeah, the venues usually have control of pricing, so it's up to them. For Les Mis, ask the presenter in your area (student rush is often under-publicized, at least where I am)
Actually, depending on the venue some of them DO do lotteries. I know our big touring house in Tempe has done lotteries for Wicked, Rent, Spring Awakening, and Les Mis the first time it came years ago.
I will be seeing it at the Kennedy Center. Do they usually have student rush/lottery?

A quick google found me info on the Kennedy Center's "Specially Priced Tickets" program. Their site also mentions a monthly newsletter for students that offers discounts, which would be good if you go often...
Specially priced tickets
