I think the book is a children's classic. I remember reading it along with Where the Red Fern Grows and loving it, but I have no idea who it would stand up reading it again as an adult.

Wow Im surprised to learn via google that the book was released in 1975, growing up in Australia and being seven at the time I've never heard of it, till 2002 with the movie opening in cinemas.


Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

I'm pretty sure we read it in 4th grade? I should re-read it again. I loved the idea of it, and I do think it has the potential for a great musical, so curious to see what they do with it.
