Tuesdays with Morrie (the play)

I've read the book (made me weep and feel good simultaneously).
I love this story, but has anyone seen the stage adaptation? Is it good? Worth seeing? Thanks.

I don't know....just about every regional theater in America is doing it at this point.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Thanks everyone for your comments. Sounds like it's worth seeing (the tour is coming through my fair city this year).

Sorry maybe I missed something, or maybe you people saw something else. This adaptation of a novel that is far too sachrine and overly sentimental becomes a trite piece of garbage on the stage. Avoid at all costs, unless you are an avid Lifetime chanel watcher.

The acting probably has the biggest impact on the effectiveness of the play, so I can understand if someone thought it was trite do to the performances of the actors. Is the play itself trite, or was the performance you saw trite?
-Was that a fart?
-My fault, I fear.
