I have no idea but could it be the version done recently at the Papermill with a few things like the Model T and the Swing cut?
Yeah...but isn't the script the same...just the direction and sets were different.

I believe you are refering to the new "School Edition" of Ragtime. It was first introduced at the International Theispian Festival this summer, and I believe will be avialable quite soon, if not already.
Well it doesn't say School Version like the other MTI Junior shows do, so i am not so sure.

Well, for 'version 1,' it also says 'Broadway version,' so I supose 'version 2' would be the School Edition. Since they are still working out a few things in the latter (I believe they are, anyway), and the former has been available for a few years, I would guess they just got the 'version 2' up on the site, and don't have all of the info available yet.

School edition? I just got the heebie-jeebies.
The second version is a concert version.
Personally, I'm waiting for the "school edition" of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"
This whole concept of a "school edition" creeps me out. It's sensorship at its ugliest, disguised as an attempt to reach out to kids and show them theatre. "Let's just cut and water down a few offensive things, so mom and dad won't yank their kids out of our school, or even try to ban the play."
It's th equivalent of making Picasso's paintings "politically correct" or "user friendly."
Next we'll hear that Version 2 is actually an all-white version.
Another "school version" coming to your community soon...

I'm not sure what the first licensed version was, but I do know that some changes were made from the Broadway version. For example, the song "He Wanted To Say" has been cut for one of the versions.
