Don't know whether or not I'm excited about this...I love Tyler's Mark, most definitely, but the new cast has such a different feel and chemistry, and I hope Tyler's able to mesh with them. Hmm. Otherwise it's going to be Tyler Maynard and those four other guys. Updated On: 11/30/05 at 12:48 PM

Honestly, I haven't had the strong urge or will to see the new cast... but Tyler going back is such a lovely incentive to catch this show again. Yay!

I just shat myself with glee.

thats the shot in the arm ABz needs. The last time i was there was Andy's last performance, and things were really starting lag with the new cast members (danny is adorable and everything, but there is no subtlty to his Mark,instead his mark is just a huge flamer, Tyler's mark was very small in his faggotry and huge in his stage presence)

it's not just a toning it down thing though. Danny did not have the stage presence that Tyler brought to the part.

I've never seen Tyler as Mark. Danny's been my only Mark and I absolutely love him in the role and I think he's got plenty of stage presence. Infact, I think it better that he not have so much stage presence - then he doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. That show is an ENSEMBLE show and Danny fit in nicely. It's not "Tyler Maynard and Those Four Other Guys".

Um Thesp, when it was the original cast, it wasn't "tyler maynard and those 4 other guys" it was an Ensemble, that was extremely talented, that jsut happen to have 1 actor that stood out among the others.

I think what Thesp is trying to say --- and I kind of agree is ... when it was the five original boys, they all were so amazing in their roles, that they worked well together.

Now, some of the newer boys (while amazing in their own right) ... are not the originals and Tyler is just such a hugee stage presence ... he may just take the show and run with it. It will no longer be five guys ... it will be Tyler and those four others.

I love Tyler though - I am glad he is coming back even though I will miss Danny.

Tyler was the standout and carried the show. If he can do that again, you should be happy. If you like the show, you should want it to do well. It's not making the grade these days. You ought to hope for Tyler to return and fast!

Of course I want the show to do well, but I hate thinking they need to depend on ONE PERSON to do that. It's BS. And personally, I've never once thought the show lagged, but I guess that's just me.

It is just you. Ticket sales are what matters in this business and that's where it's lagging.

I am glad Tyler is coming back because with TP closing, I was worried about the future of ABz. However, the show wont be good if Tyler steals it and the other boys pale in comparison. Then, when Tyler is not on stage or in the spotlight, people will get bored.

Don't worry. In every ensemble there will be those who stand out and those who fade back a little. It's just nature. It's rare when every single member is equally loved by all. Tyler has something special which shines throughout the show but of course he needs top notch performers along with him. I'm not even saying he's the most talented one on that stage. He just has something special.

I know what you mean. You love the show and are still enjoying it. But it just isn't doing the same business it did with the original cast. We can only hope something will help it out.
