You mean the pandering, homophobic, stereotype-worshipping media mogul?
Damn, I love his work it's funny and has a message. But you have a right to your opinion.
Don't forget ostentatious.
Actually, nothing I said is really "opinion." I know I'm not his target, and I'm not going to comment on whether his script's are funny, or direction is good, etc.
But he is DEFINITELY all of those things I said...
I'm curious. What messages do all of his films have?
Belive what you will. (Not trying to start something if it comes off that way)
Some of my students brought copies of his stage shows for me to watch because they know I am a theater fan, and I will admit that I did not hate them as much as I thought I would.
Yeah he is really funny. I have 5 of his stage plays. I can't wait for "Jail" the movie to come out in the Fall.

I like Tyler Perry. I like his plays. One minute I'm laughing, the next minute I wanna know who the baby's daddy is.
I love Tyler Perry's plays.
I saw What's Done In the Dark and Madea Goes To Jail on stage at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. People were screaming with laughter during both shows. I have never heard a reaction from the audience to anything like that before or since.
I was also caught up in the laughter to the point my throat hurt.
Good clean fun, I say.

I'm still waiting what messages his plays are about.
From previews, it looks like the same movie over and over and over again.
"It's okay, because we're a family!"
And I'm offended by the lack of white actors.
(Okay, not really.)
Actually they aren't the same movie. The trailer may seem that way but they are there own shows that happen to tie into each other. I really don't know about the messages I was blowing that out my ass in the heat of the moment. They are just really at heart FUN.

I've seen his plays on video. I was cracking up. Funny man
No, he's a total closet case because he refuses to admit he's a homosexual while being homophobic at the same time. A wonderful specimen of a man.
I love how his most famous character is named after a woman who killed a lot of people.
I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, but rather looking for clarification. How is he or his movies homophobic?

I heart Tyler Perry big time! i think he's hilariously funny and creates great work, stage and film! and actually many people of african decent (politically correct way
) call their grandmothers or the head mother of the family madea, which is short for ma dear.
