I used to watch House of Payne but stopped because it was getting irritating. I like his plays (I own 5 of the dvds) & movies.

I agree. What worked on stage and in (most) of his movies does NOT work on either of his TV shows (although in my opinion, Meet The Browns is better than House Of Payne).

I couldn't get into Meet The Browns. Mr. Brown is too OTT for his own show.
