Here I am kids! That was from Cagney & Lacey days ... on the set. Very 80's wouldn't you say? In that scene I was supposed to be a little kid found on the roof of a building or something like that. I really don't remember it all too well except that I was super spoiled and fed lots of oatmeal cookies! :) Sorry if there is a bit of a glare, I had to take a picture of the picture cause the person who was supposed to scan it for me flaked. I'll change it up if he sends it to me tomorrow... I didn't do the best job capturing it.

Can I just say that I LOVE Tyne Daly. I wish I had seen her in "Gypsy," I'm sure she was amazing. I'm still really pissed at CBS for canceling "Judging Amy" which was a great, great show! Damn them!

I am just really really excited about this news. I ADORE Tyne Daly and think this is a wonderful casting coup for RABBIT HOLE! I actually got a copy of the play a week ago and read it - BLEW ME AWAY! She'll be perfect for the role. I was thinking Carole Shelly, but Tyne is even better. After an enjoyable time at ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR; RABBIT HOLE is going to be a hard hitting poignant piece of delicous theatre - I honestly cant wait for this!

Cynthia Nixon & John Slattery play a married couple who have just tragically lost their young son in a car accident and Cynthia's mother & sister (???? - I dont think its been announced who will be playing that role) feel the need to tell Cynthia how to deal with the loss of her son. The ruination and rebuilding of many relationships after a tragedy as hard hitting as loosing a child. It read heart wrenching, I could only imagine it on stage with this cast.

Wow, this sounds totally different for Lindsay-Abaire. I'm only familiar with his comedies (Fuddy Meer and Kimberly Akimbo.) This play sounds harrowing though. Is there any humor in it at all?
And how did you get a copy of the script? I want to read it too. Is it published?
This is quite a cast. And your report on the script makes me want to go out and buy tickets.

It's not in print (yet), but I assume they'll publish it around the time that the production debuts.

It is totaly different than any of David Lindsay-Abaire's pieces I have seen as well. I too am familiar with Fuddy Meers and Kimberly Akimbo, and while they were indeed funny - this script is light years beyond better. Not only is it harrowing, thoughtful, gut & heart wrenching, but yes, it is indeed funny as well at times. Not hysterically comical as the previous, but there is a light charm to the piece that just makes it work all the more.
No as MEF said, its not published yet, I have a friend of a friend who got the script for me, but I would definilty jump on the bandwagon to see this one. And now w/the casting that has been done, Im really just excited...cant say it enough.

That does sound like it would be a really amazing production, from script to cast.

Thanks for the report, La Cage. I really loved Lindsay-Abaire's other plays and yes they we're hilarious, but I also found them oddly sad in places, especially Kimberly Akimbo. I'm a fan, so of course I'd love to see him turn his stuff on its ear and do something that's totally different, mostly serious, but still oddly funny in places. Rabbit Hole sounds right up my alley. Thanks for getting me so excited about it. And that cast is heaven-sent. I can't wait now.
And Popular, the photo is adorable. When I first looked at it, I thought it was Cynthia Nixon as a girl, and that Rabbit Hole would be a reunion of sorts with Nixon and Daly. The fact that it's YOU makes it even cooler.

I loved "Fuddy Meers" and i love Cynthia...so i will go to see it!
