Well, it's not showing in the ticket sales yet...
I would say meeting 82.81% of IF/THEN's gross potential is pretty damn good for the first week. Granted there may have been a large amount of crazy Rent and Wicked fans attending because it was the first week of previews.

These days make over 80% of your potential is good for an established show, let alone a brand new musical not based on a movie, book, etc and with no stunt casting.
I totally agree. I can't imagine the producers are disappointed with those numbers for the first week.
Whoops, you're exactly right; I had the numbers confused with Rocky's, for no good reason.
Yeah, those numbers for IF/THEN are pretty insane, considering what others have said re it not being a known entity. I had no idea Menzel would be such a huge draw for the show (I'm sure the fact it's from the team behind NEXT TO NORMAL doesn't hurt), good for her, it's always nice to see actual Broadway stars. I do think the free publicity she has gotten as part of FROZEN, and then obviously the infamous Travolta flub, helped as well. Though I have zero interest in this show, I'm happy to see it do well, let's hope it can keep those numbers throughout its run.

I feel the same way. It's pretty thrilling when genuine Broadway stars can sell tickets. I hope that the grosses can remain steady.
