Someone recommended to me UTA HAGEN'S ACTING CLASS on DVD. I never knew this existed (and this sparked another Uta Hagen thread of mine yesterday).
I've always wanted to create a documentary about an entering class of college majoring in theatre and following them all four years.
Are there any other "acting classes on DVD"?

Barbara Cook's video contains footage of her giving pointers in musical theater songs.
Also, if you're in NYC, the NYPL has several acting classes on VHS/DVD. Go to NYPL.ORG, click on the Leo Catalogue. In the search box, type UTA HAGEN ACTING CLASS. The link will come up--on the UTA HAGEN page. Click on the heading: ACTING-STUDY AND TEACHING and it will take you to a couple of pages of the library's holdings associated with that topic. Some good stuff there (Simon Callow, Janet Suzman, Uta, etc).

There is, of course, the Stella Adler master class DVD as well.
I've studied both. Two amazing actresses/teachers.
The information is priceless.
Thanks!!!

Michael Caine has one class available (not sure if on DVD, but it was on video)
Terrance Mann has a lecture he gave to a class on video (He talks about auditioning for Les Miz).
there's a series of Meisner acting videos. as well as a series of acting shakespeare videos by the Royal Shakespeare Company, including some of its very famous members and alumni. some of them are when trevor nunn was the director, they're really amazing.

I prefer the one where you read scenes from PEYTON PLACE opposite Paulette Goddard.

Tallulah tell you ALL you need to know about acting in this one sentence:
"What have you been doing?"
"WHAT have you been doing?"
"What HAVE you been doing?"
"What have YOU been doing?"
"What have you BEEN doing?"
And my own personal favorite"
"What have you been DOING?"
