I honestly don't give Ryan Murphy much credit for GLEE's success. If the show came on like any other, it would have failed. What really made GLEE popular was that FOX promoted it in EVERY way possible. They promoted it more than any television show I have ever seen.
I just think they are over doing it now. I know MURPHY signed a contract and he is supposed to do all he can to keep GLEE popular.
I like the musical numbers of GLEE, but not a fan of the story lines.
I think what makes people keep watching GLEE is the fact there are different songs every week with an ongoing story line.
I just have a feeling by the time GLEE gets on Broadway and it has all new actors, it could very well fail. Who knows though.
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter
