Now..let me understand this....what with the two or three hundred compliations of ALW stuff out there, you're telling me there ARE lesser-known songs by him?

Webber has written so many songs that have been sung to death! For example, Music of the Night, Memory and others have been rerecorded so many times that the beauty of the tune is unappreciated. There many melodies that ALW has created that have not been given much attention. These songs would be lovely to hear in a concert format. Here are a few:
Jesus- Pilate's Dream, Could we start again, please?
Jospeh- Pharoah Story
Jeeves- When love arrives, That was nearly us back there
Evita- She's a diamond, I'd be surprisingly go for you
Tell me on a Sunday- Somewhere, someplace sometime, Come back with the same look in your eyes
Cats- Grizabella, The Ballad of Billy McCaw
Starlight- There's me, Make up my heart, Next time you fall in love, Uncoupled, Only you
Phantom -Point of no return, Learn to be lonely
Aspects- There is more to love, Falling, She'd be far better off with you, Anything but lonely
Sunset- Surrender, New ways to dream, Greatest Star of all
Whistle - If only, Try not to be afraid, Kiss is a terrible thing to waste
B.Game - God's own country, First time, Let us love in peace
Woman/White - I believe my heart, Evermore with out you

These are just a few that boast some beautiful melodies but are not recorded to death by solo artists.

They really should document this evening on CD.

So excited by all the wonderful choices, all these amazing melodies were the very reason the evening was "cooked up"...rest assured many of them will be a part of the concert.
The GIFTED BEYOND WORDS Mark Hartman will be the musical director and we are blessed to have him, just wait until you hear what he's planning!

I'll further tease the fact that two AMAZING performers have been added to the roster of talent. Not sure if they will be announced or surprise guests - but I, for one am VERY excited about both!

The additions are the wonderfully talented Emily Skinner and Jeff McCarthy who are now listed in the first post here, the story on the site, and in a thread that's now slipped off.

This is going to be one great concert!

This concert is starting to sound really good! :) Since I'm not a huge ALW fan, I'm hoping to find a greater appreciation for his work! And if I don't have a good time, I'll just annoy Rob and Eddie until they start to bleed out.
