I am coming to NYC at the end of March with a friend who isn't too keen on dramatic plays. I know 'Noises Off' is opening this Spring, but does anybody have any recommendations on other comedic plays to catch? I already know most of the comedic musicals on Broadway/opening soon, so I'm just looking for straight plays. Thanks in advance...

I believe that last good (i.e. funny/witty) comedic play that reached Broadway was The Realistic Joneses and that was over a year ago. When you arrive you might just check the Off Broadway listings.

Noises Off starts performances Dec 17 and closes March 6 so it will not be available at the end of March when you are scheduled.

Ah yes I forgot about JTF's new play! I will check that out...thanks, TerrenceistheMann. Mar6411-drats, I should have checked the listing. Well now I will definitely need to find something. I wish Hand To God was staying on. I saw it in October and it was incredible.

Think about Dry Powder at the Public. Tickets to the general public will be on sale in early December. That likeable dude John Krasinski from The Office is in it.
It sounds like Mark Rylance's Nice Fish at St. Ann's Warehouse would be perfect for you guys, but it is scheduled to close March 13. I'm not sure if it has the potential to extend into late March.
It seems like most of the plays scheduled to be open on Broadway in the spring are definitely not comedic.

Consider seeing Old Hats at The Signature Theater if you enjoy comedy.
