#1Update - Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City musical
Posted: 5/13/09 at 11:29pmOne of Armistead Maupin's short stories is being done as a play here in San Francisco, and in his bio he lists that the musical of Tales of the City(music by the Scissor Sisters) will be workshopped at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center this summer, with an aim for Broadway thereafter.
"Artists are always on the vanguard of change: they give the community a vision."
"Desire comes from the Latin "de sire", or "of the father", or "of the stars". We want what is magical, what is out there, what is of the stars. And so our characters should as well."
"If there are people who don't believe in you, don't hang out with them. Wish them well, wish them peace, and move on."

Thanks for posting.
Hasn't it been like a year since they announced this, and only now is there some kind of update? If there was ever a project I want fast-tracked, it's this one!
