Ramos has such a small role in A Star is Born. Pretty unmemorable, in my opinion.

I completely agree but being attached to major A films elevated his credits.  He was featured somewhat in A STAR IS BORN (it wasn’t a brief background role), which quickly qualified his casting as Usnavi in IN THE HEIGHTS.   He just completed filming HONEST THIEF which stars Liam Neeson, so it’s obvious his opportunities are getting better.  IN THE HEIGHTS’ team is hoping his roster increases by the time their film begins its post-promotion.

Why can’t we just cast broadway people for broadway roles and then leave the stunt casting to the other characters? (This is more in reference to the movie).

I think Hudgens would actually make a nice Nessa.

in multiple interviews, barrett wilbert weed has stated her desire to play elphaba in the wicked movie and is dying to do the role on broadway
