re: Vanessa and Kristin...Who will win?

It's actually a tougher category than I thought at first glance...I think it's definitely between Kristin, Vanessa and Jean Smart, who's gotten her fair share of Emmy love recently (back to back guest shot wins for--I think--The District).

Would love to see Vanessa get it...she's earned it.

re: Vanessa and Kristin...Who will win?

It's pretty much up for grabs. Chenoweth gives the least "laugh out loud" performance of them all, simply because of the nature of her show and after getting snubbed in the Best Comedy category I see that the voters don't love DAISIES as much as they should.
The episode Williams turned in is hilarious and has some of her best work on UGLY BETTY, so I would think she has an edge over Cheno.
Jean Smart is a riot in SAMANTHA WHO?
Poehler surprised me with the nod, she is hot now, so I wouldn't be surprised if she got the award.

re: Vanessa and Kristin...Who will win?

First of all, Poheler over Kristin Wiig? Huh?!

I think it's definitely going to be Holland Taylor. Some pundits have predicted wins for her before and this is probably going to be her year...although I do love Jean Smart on SAMANTHA WHO? but I doubt she'll win.

It's really up for grabs but right now, if I had to put my money on anyone it would be Taylor.

re: Vanessa and Kristin...Who will win?

Amy Poehler has turned in such a wide variety of hilarious performances that I think she truly deserves this award; my second choice is the always wonderful Jean Smart.

re: Vanessa and Kristin...Who will win?

I think this is Jean's 6th Emmy nomination, she won in 2000 and 2001 for Guest Actress in a Comedy for "Frasier."

I pretty much love her in anything.

re: Vanessa and Kristin...Who will win?

Chenowith and Williams are the least likely to win this category. It'll be between the other three, imo.

HAs anyone seen the episode Girth from Pushing Daisies. That is the episode they sent in for her.
Current Avatar:The sensational Aaron Tveit in the soon to be hit production of Catch Me If You Can.

re: Vanessa and Kristin...Who will win?

Oh, "Girth" was one of my least favorite episodes this season. I really hope Jean Smart or Vanessa win. I love Amy Poehler so I wouldn't mind if she won either.

re: Vanessa and Kristin...Who will win?

I think it's either Amy or Jean. The Emmy folks go left sometimes and pick odd winners, so don't count out anything.

Jean is a vet who gets nods in both drama and comedy (like Taylor, who won for THE PRACTICE).

Amy is super hot right now and would generate the most income for producers and agents if she won...so she probably will.

re: Vanessa and Kristin...Who will win?

Haven't seen Girth but I understand she was featured prominently in that episode. Could Ms. Chenoweth win? Yes. Would I like her to win? Yes. (I think she could win the "GATE" a la Helen Hayes/Audrey Hepburn, or at least the triple crown. imo)

I think Ms. Taylor however is the front runner. She won in 1999 for the practice and has been nominated 4 other times since then.

re: Vanessa and Kristin...Who will win?

I'd love to see Vanessa win because Wilhemina Slater deserves to win SOMETHING she can keep after all of her scheming the past two years. I do enjoy Kristin's Olive, so that win would also make me happy. But it'll end up being Holland Taylor because she's the nominee whose work I haven't seen.

re: Vanessa and Kristin...Who will win?

At least every actress in the category is deserving of the award which hasn't been the case in previous years (though I'm still pickled Jane Krakowski didn't get a nod for her hilarious work as "me want food" Jenna).

re: Vanessa and Kristin...Who will win?

Yes, this is the first year that SNL performers were eligible in the comedy categories. Noone has been able to answer whye for me, bobbybubby. Even odder is that Tina Fey is nominated for her performance in SNL in the variety category.

It makes no sense.

Yes, Bobby, for the first time the actors from SNL were eligible in the Best Comedy Acting categories.
