Has anyone gotten rush seats to Venus in Fur recently? How early do you have to get there?
Thanks.

Posted: 6/3/12 at 4:25pmI went about two hours before curtain for a Wednesday matinee and got front row center. The orchestra was somewhat full, but there were scattered seats available everywhere and the mezz/balcony didn't look that crowded.

Can anyone confirm the price for the rush tickets? I've seen several posts on this board saying they're either $32.50 or $36.50, but the Telecharge listing says:
Student Rush: Offered day of show when Box Office opens, subject to availability; $27.00 per ticket, limit 2 per person; must show photo ID verifying current enrollment in degree/diploma program.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

They are $36.50 the $27 price is from the off broadway run
Anyone know if they has suspended rush for the final week? or will their still be rush tickets? I know last time they did 30 under 30 tickets they were in the same section as the rush and if the 30 under 30's sold in advance then there was no rush, and I just looked and the 30 under 30's seem gone for the rest of the run.
Have they added more rush seats in a different section?

I called Telecharge earlier tonight and had the lady call the box office to inquire about student rush and she said that they will have rush for the week.
So i'm not sure what's going on now

I stopped by the box office about an hour ago to ask about the $33 balcony seats, and those are sold out for the rest of the week. It looks like there are some orchestras left on Telecharge, but the cheap ones are gone.
Irrelevant now, sorry.

Can anyone stop by the box office and ask about rush for the week to clear everything up
For those who have rushed in the past what time did you get there?
I know they held the boxes for rush but am not sure if they still do that

I stopped by the box office yesterday to ask if they will have rush today. The lady told me they will, and to get there early cause people have been camping out. So, I got in the rush line about 6:45, there was one person in front of me. So, then at 10 when the box office opened we were informed that they didn't have any rush tickets left for the rest of the run. The cheapest tickets that are left are the ones in the bal for $66.50. There was about 50 people in line, we weren't happy. But it appears there is no way you can get cheaper tickets for this show this week.
So I splurged and bought a $66 ticket for closing on Sunday. I know it's worth it, but it's more than I wanted to spend.
So, honestly, I would say there's no point in rushing this week. I highly doubt they will have a change of heart later in the week. If they do, I'm gonna be pissed! haha.

Just called Telecharge, the lady called the box office for me and she said the guy in the box office said they WILL have rush for the week. however it is based on availability from day to day.
She said he said today they DID sell rush, and it can always change
example being: tomorrow they could open and say no rush in the morning but that could change as the day goes on.
So who knows what's actually going on

Posted: 6/12/12 at 4:19pmI think someone somewhere down the line is BSing us. I can tell you for a fact this morning at 10am there was no rush tickets sold. Of course that means they could have been sold later on in the day, but is that likely? Who knows. I think this theatre needs to get their story straight ...

I hate the Lyceum box office. They are rude and so unnecessarily strict. When I bought TDF tickets they not only asked for an ID (which I don't mind) but then said it didn't look valid, it was my college ID with a photo and school seal, barcodes, year of expiration, etc. no one else had ever questioned its authenticity. I also showed them the print confirmation and another ID I had in my wallet. After about 10 minutes they finally gave me the tickets but were incredibly rude.
I went by this afternoon and asked about rush and was told there were no seats, he never specified if that meant it wasn't being offered or they had sold out. I tried to ask if it was happening at all throughout the rest of the week or if rush was over and he answered the phone and turned his back to me. I walked away and have no interest in seeing this show again.
