Vivian Beaumont Theatre seating question
#1Vivian Beaumont Theatre seating question
Posted: 12/20/14 at 4:41pmI am going to be buying tickets for the third preview of The King and I. I started looking into tickets and seating options today. For anyone who has been to the theatre, how is the view from the lodge? Would you recommend the first row, or is there a safety rail that blocks your view? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Posted: 12/20/14 at 4:47pmI honestly don't think there's a bad seat in the Beaumont. I've sat all over the loge, including one of the extreme sides, and I've never had an issue with sightlines. First row of the loge should be perfect.

I've sat in both the orch & mezz in this theater and this theater is comfortable and designed really well so seating anywhere is pretty good unless you are seating in the far side sections of the theater the angle can get a bit uncomfortable after a while.
I sat front row loge for South Pacific just off center section and the view was perfect no problem with the railing to take in the vast stage visuals that I believe will be matched by K&I.

Posted: 12/20/14 at 11:07pmI agree that the loge tickets have good sightlines. The one thing to keep in mind is that the loge is higher and starts farther back than at many other Broadway theaters, so it's a bit farther from the stage than what you might typically think.
