Posted: 1/16/06 at 6:19pmHey Guys - I know who some of the big name vocal coaches are in NY - but was curious where is the best place to find a really GOOD one. Doesn't have to be the cheapest either, but where is the best place to look - Backstage or...?

Kevin Stites (music director for Titanic, Nine, Fiddler, Oklahoma, On the Town). Very nice, affordable, knowledgable.
Its nice to hear comments from someone actively IN the business who is constantly working with top talent and is behind audition tables. He works out of his apt on the upper west side.

As opposed to starting a new thread, I'll ask here.
Does anyone have any TEACHERS they could recommend?

Currently studying with Patti Cohenour.
She's actually more of an acting coach through song. She helps you to connect the dots between song and acting.

Posted: 1/18/06 at 1:39pmLiz Caplan is the best as far as teachers go. She is very hard to get in with however. Michael Lavine is a great coach very kind and has the sheet music to any song you'd ever want to sing.
