I have my tickets for August 4th! Very excited
I'm jealous, OKBroadwayFan. Make sure you report back with your opinions!
I like the artwork and the curtain. They're very bright and pleasing to the eyes. I wonder who designed it.
It's very similar to the movie poster, although I do slightly prefer the film's artwork.
I just noticed that the background of the poster art looks like the curtain but with a blue filter. They're both pie crust.
I actually prefer the musical poster. The color scheme on the film one isn't really my taste; I like the bright colors and especially the font on the musical art much more.
I don't care for this poster for the film for several reasons. I don't care for the filter used on the waitress, it doesn't relate well to the background. It isn't easy to read the copy because of the plaid background, nor is the title prominent enough. I don't like the little pies with the small print on them, and the bottom credits - well, never mind. oy. To me, epic fail.
If there is ever a director who can shape a new piece of writing into perfection, its Diane Paulus! Am I the only one here who remembers Finding Neverland? Well, am I???

The stories I heard from a cast member of her musical Johnny Baseball made me laugh so hard snot shot right put of my nostrils. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Paulson Weinet conglomerate can not open new musicals. But I bet she and Teller could make something out of The Magic Show.
