My favorite part is when the reporter doing the voice over says:

i saw it last sunday and i really enjoyed it. i have plans to go back already. they have students tickets for 20 with an id.

Yep, it is disheartening that the topic of homosexuality is soooooo shocking and controversial. Watch out--two men kiss!!??!!??

It will also be nice the day that actors don't have to make a gay kiss sound like a deep emotional acting risk.

Thats hysterical DT- I thought the same thing.. I also laughed at how the reporter makes it appear that it requires some real acting for two "straight" guys to play these gay roles... LOL

Get Real was awful! I'm really getting tired of seeing the same damn plot in every single gay film. Give me more films by Gregg Araki and new directors who aren't afraid to take a chance and show us like we really are!

Which "we" would that be, Matt? The circuit queens, the rodeo riders, the republicans, the middle-class suburbanites in Kansas City, the American urban version of Eurotrash, the homeless hustlers? Just because the scenarios don't speak to you doesn't mean they don't have something to say to someone else. You are only one of many, and you certainly don't speak for any "we" that i may be associated with.

Actually what I meant when I said "give me other directors..." was that they show a whole diverse group of gays and not just the one sad little sissy pining over his best friend.
I've seen that one plot played to death so it's nice when people take chances to make films about "The circuit queens, the rodeo riders, the republicans and the middle-class suburbanites in Kansas City"
