Did anyone pick "Not a Day Goes By"? That's my favorite...this year. I always love reading this feature.
I think "All I Ask of You," as cliche as it probably sounds, is my favorite Broadway love song. It's beautiful and I still love the denotation of marriage as "one love, one lifetime".
Other contenders would include "One, Hand, One Heart" from "West Side Story" and "Married" from "Cabaret".
jv92, Harvey Fierstein picked "Not a Day Goes By."
One song that I didn't see mentioned was "My Cup Runneth Over" from I Do! I Do! I find that song to be very romantic and poignant.
Songs that were mentioned that I whole-heartedly agree with were "Loving You" (obviously), "Will He Like Me?" and "Yours, Yours, Yours."
Ah, thank you James2. I thought I had came across it, but skimming through I wasn't sure.
I thought it was interesting how many people picked, "If I Loved You." From an unscientific glance down the lists, it seemed to come up pretty often.
Nobody mentioned Marianne from The Grand Tour.
That's defintely one of my favorite romantic songs.
On The Street Where You Live????????? Really? That song gives me the creeps. Talk about stalkerish.

Carly Simon said that Anna sings "Something Wonderful." Isn't it Lady Thiang?
My pick this year is "Some Girls" from Once on This Island.
"If I Loved You" was the runaway winner.
Other strong showings:
"Some Enchanted Evening"
"Somewhere" and "One Hand One Heart" from West Side Story
Most surprising to me was the strong showing of the Kern/Hammerstein ballad "All the Things You Are" which was from a flop 1939 musical "Very Warm for May" but has one of the most beautiful melodies ever written. It was competing for second.
Pleased to see how well Rodger and Hart did and in particular that "My Funny Valentine," whose lyrics Sondheim savaged in his book for "mis-stressed syllables and convoluted syntax," was chosen about as many times as all Sondheim compositions combined.
If this arrogant man had written his lyrics to please the audience and not his English professor then he might have had half the popular and commercial success of Rodgers and Hart.

Sad no one, as a joke or for seriousness, mentioned "Evening Prayers" from Carrie.
Romantic love or not, it's one of the most beautiful duets about a love bond so strong that only death can tear the two apart.
givesmevoice, Taylor Hicks mentioned "My Cup Runneth Over," which is surprising and also sort of hilarious, haha.
Anyway mine changes depending on the day, but right now my favorites would probably be "So Many People" from Saturday Night and "My White Knight" from The Music Man. If you asked me tomorrow you'd probably get a different answer, there are so many songs that I love.

Love To Me, from Light in the Piazza, would be the most romantic recent song.
OlBlueEyes-
There's no denying that Rodgers and Hart are great, but Mr. Sondheim does bring up a few interesting points-- and most of them are right!
And I think Sondheim's lyrics are audience-pleasers. The problem is, the idiot audiences of today aren't listening hard enough.
It wouldn't typically be called a 'love song', but Do You Love Me, from Fiddler, would get my vote.
