I got this passed along in a morning e-mail blast. I completely just spilled coffee all over my desk laughing at this. This was NOT the "Taylor the Latte Boy" I was expecting! This is seriously, one of the most hysterical cabaret performances I've ever seen.
That's hilarious, I also just saw that video this morning and was thinking about posting it here. Beat me to it! That girl is so funny. She would be a great Paulette in BLONDE. I wonder if Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich have seen this, and if so, what would they think.
HAHAHAHAHA. That voice that she does on "And he didn't think I knew" is made of win! HAHHAHA! Thanks for posting this. Let's be frank, "Taylor" was cute maybe the first 4 times you heard it, but after going to theatre school for four years, I certainly got my fair share of drippy renditions. And sorry, but those jokes just not all that funny the 30th time you've heard them. I'm glad someone found a way to breathe new life into it.
She's ridiculous. Her name is Susanne Layton and she's a recent graduated from Michigan There's some other great videos of her on youtube. That vid is solid gold
She's very funny, but it says something that she doesn't trust her material. She should try to make the song funny as written or write her own song... maybe... I don't know. It's late. And that seemed so condescending and not very original... and yet she's very talented. It's late. My thoughts have already gone to sleep.
I dunno, I think it's more funny that she maybe changed only 4 or 5 lyrics, but by doing so turned the character who was supposed to be so cute and charming into a totally depressing, psycho.
