Any thoughts, opinions, or predictions?
Thought: I think my awesome Aussie friends should check it out.
I think you should spell Australia correctly.
LizzieCurry, Sorry, I rely on spell check and it did not pick that up. Although seriously, your obnoxious way of putting it was not necessary, "you spelled Australia wrong" would have been perfectly fine.
Possibly, but it's not in my nature.
IMO, that stuff is NASTY! It's salty, and really bitter.

Yep - that sums us up as a nation...
Chookas to Wicked, and partic my mate Joh who who is in the ensemble.
The awesome or nasty part? 0_o
Actually, in 5 hours Australia time.
musicaltheatrefan3, oh, so there 6 hours behind us? I have always wanted to know.
14 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time
It's 3:40 PM right now in Melbourne
No. And it depends where you live.

P.S. I love Vegemite. Probably because I am also salty and bitter.
LizzieCurry, musicaltheatrefan3 said eastern standard time, stop trying so hard to correct people.
Note the time stamp in which Miss Zaks said that. I wouldn't have seen her reply since it was posted the same time I made mine.
I don't have to try hard on this board.
LizzieCurry, what you just posted might have worked if your going to say you have never ready any messages musicaltheatrefan3 has started, in which he/she makes it pretty clear he/she is from New York or another eastern time zone place. Also, it's the fact of the matter that you keep correcting people.
People keep being wrong.
when was musicaltheatrefan3 wrong? Your trying to hard to find ways to correct people.
I filmed a special extra edition of my show for the opening (I'm an aussie and I know Kris Stewart who is working on WICKED out here, this was my little present for them)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFO0ZGFZ6Cg
I'm seeing it some time in the next week as well as going later again in September
And as I'm sitting here, in Melbourne, it is 3:50pm, 3:48pm at time of posting originally, 3:49pm when I opened this to edit. And we are in front of US time too.
I like to say that I can predict the future! And when I come to B;Way in December I will have lived the 14th of December twice!
I also enjoy vegemite, and eat it every day for breakfast on a nice piece of toast. YUM!
As far as predictions it should do pretty well, already taking $9million (aus) before the show has opened, which has broken all Aus box office records for a musical.
She'll be here awhile, Sydney shalt be very jealous

Hmm. Must be an acquired taste then. I've only had it a few times, and never liked it.
BUT I do know one of my friends from down unda (i had to) LOVES LOVES LOVES Pop Tarts. She had to buy some to take home because they stopped selling them.

The trick is you need to butter the toast while it's really hot, with heaps of butter, and then a thin smear of vegemite. You need enough butter that you are nearly drinking your toast, and then vegemite is close to heaven.
It is made from the byproducts of making beer, so that is another reason why Australians like it.
And it will also turn your skin green.
One of these facts is not true.
It kind of is. I didn't have to work hard on it, though.
I liked it before I visited Australia, though, which was a little unusual.
Yes they did! However you can pick them up these days from a few spots around the place that sell American goods. I know a lot of the American Diner style places sell them.
Wow...that got kind of hijacky!
Back to WICKED.
In interviewed the Aus Ticketing director out here to, here's the article if anyone is interested:

In the article he's pictured with Lucy Durack who is playing Glinda.
"And it will also turn your skin green."
Must be Martin's problem....
See my video posted above if you don't understand it.
I hear Amanda Harrison is on a strict diet of vegemite for every meal in order for her to get the correct skin tone for Elphaba!
A friend of mine went to the "family and friends" run through last night and said it is in very good shape.
AU$9 million sounds like a decent advance however, when you take into account the price of the tickets and size of the theatre it really is only 5 1/2 weeks of full houses. They need to keep selling.
Last night was the family and friends pre-preview performance and the show is in superb shape. It looks incredible and except for a few minor sound level issues in act 1, it is very very tight heading into previews.
Amanda Harrison's No Good Deed was by far the highlight of the evening, she is just astounding. And Lucy's Popular was much funnier then I anticipated.
Will be interesting to see how it all pans out on opening night in two weeks. Having seen Broadway, West End and the Tour of Wicked - this is an exceedingly good show and definitely in the most impressive of theatres: http://www.marrinertheatres.com.au/venue_regent.jsp
