Broadway Themed Card Game Jun 24 2012, 10:22:30 PM
Hi everyone! Last year I was living in New York City and having a pretty rough time of it, I couldn't find a job, was pretty depressed, and thought any minute I'd be moving back to Australia. To keep myself busy I started working on a little card game that incorporated my love of Broadway, musicals, and checking out the weekly box office grosses. While my roommates thought I was a little crazy, soon I'd developed a fast and fun little game called "It's A Hit!" I designed the cards, and got myself a demo deck printed. Since then I got a job in Chicago and headed out on the road with some national tours, where I tested the game with anyone I came across, refining the details as I went along. I returned to Australia at the beginning of March where I continued to refine the game, until this point in time, when I decided it was ready to share with the world. I'm so excited that the game has come this far, and that It helped me get through a really tough time To get some start up funds to start making decks of the game I launched an Indiegogo campaign with a very modest goal, that was achieved, and now I'm trying to get the game out into the world and into the hands of fellow Broadway fans across the globe. Naturally I thought BWW would be the best place to let people know about it. So if you enjoy Broadway and card games, and want the two worlds to meet, here is your chance! The first edition of the game is about to be released so to find out more, including how to play and more about the history of the game, plus the best place to put your order in for a copy is still on the Indiegogo site (until I'm able to get an online store up and running on my own website) http://www.indiegogo.com/itsahit Your support will help turn this from a little side project, to an exciting game shared and enjoyed by Broadway fans all over the world! Hope you enjoy "It's A Hit!"

Well today marks the point where I am 10 days out from New York- my quest is slowly coming to a close...but an exciting close because I'll be in New York! I'm still video blogging/making episodes...because our journey continues, and there should be some awesome footage after the trip as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-hWfAJbedw So who's going to the Gypsy's this year- [title of show] will be there, the last number I believe. And anyone signed up for Susan's Die Vampire Die workshop? Hope everyone is well. Sean

Hey Hey everyone, so it's been awhile since I've posted on here- but in keeping the [tos] spirit alive, my little fan show has been continuing- because we are still coming to the big bad city in December! (39 days away WOOHOO!) This second season of the show has had many ups and downs, with the closing of [tos] and then the closing of many other shows as well- so we've blamed that on Jarrod, so see those adventures here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UP_bldmUns http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUKnb-qdJUk -Shrek The Musical themed Episode And then we had some really big news in our latest episode about our team of brave adventurers- the news is true, but it didn't happen like it's shown in the episode. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7b2zzy3joY For dramatic purposes though this worked out great, and it's a halloween themed ep! So go on and check those out, and don't forget to subscribe to the show, because there's a new episode every week as we get closer and closer to New York, and I'd hate you to miss out on the journey! Who knows who we may bump into in the next few episodes! And who voted Wonder Woman for President today?

re: Have you ever seen a Broadway performer on the Subway? Oct 5 2008, 05:36:59 AM
Geoffrey Rush doesn't have a license to drive a car, so he is always on the train...how ever I'm never on his line. My friend Jarrod though has sat next to him on the train, and while he was writing a text message Rush sneaked a peak at what he was writing, which made my friend pretty special. Otherwise even though I take the train all the time I've never been on the train with anyone exciting.

It's never too late! I would have figured the Helen Hayes would have already been booked- I didn't think Broadway houses were that available. I think it's time for the '9 College Students Favourite Thing Inspiration Road Trip College Tour'- 4 Chairs, A Keyboard and a mini bus! I think there are a lot of people across the US (and the world of course) that would enjoy the show and inspire them if it 'came to visit'. And the target demographic of college students who really need t

Won't be as much as before with Jersey Boys pulling back a lil...but still! And now August: Osage County (not musical I know...but still!) Next year is going to be fantastic!

re: [tos] tour? Sep 17 2008, 09:47:32 AM
I think if [tos] did tour their focus would be less on general audience and general touring theatre venues. It would work REALLY well if it toured Colleges- especially with Theatre Courses, but also for general students as well. That target market is perfect- people wanting to know that they can achieve what they dream about in life, what they're at College studying for. I think if you look at of a large number of [tos] fans you'll find them to be young, College ages people, an

Hey hey, Firstly, Robbie I apologise for kind of stealing your thunder and making a video- but I really felt like I had to be part of it. However I think it's started the snowball you and I were thinking of. I got this through a YouTube message earlier today. I think you should all check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiZIHYwegu4 I thought it was a really beautiful message from a [tos]ser all the way in Holland! I think we're also starting to show that this is more than just theatre jokes! Spread the word peoples! Let's get making some video responses!!!! Red Shirts and Duct Tape ON! And if you can't make a video, share the videos that have been made by others. Let's spread this message! Now a practicle guide to how you can make a film without a video camera: PC: Ok so pretty much all Windows operating systems that I'm aware of come with the basic movie maker software. This is the perfect starting point, and you won't need a video camera. First off: Take a photo of yourself in red tshirt and [tos] duct tape. Secondly: Import this photo into movie maker. Thirdly: (This may be the hard part if you don't have a microphone, but give it a go, most laptops have them these days, or you can get them real cheap from like $2 Shops...are they called that in the US? Anyway!) Record what you think about [title of show] and what it's about to you. Fourthly: You can add fancy titles to the front and back of it if you want. Fifthly: Upload to YouTube, then find all the other red-tee vids and set your video as a 'video response' to these vids. So they all link up like a chain! Ta-Dah! You're spreading the message! If you're on a Mac you can do the same thing, but with iMovie...but then there's also a good chance you have a webcam built into your Mac...so video it up peeps! Can't wait to see what you all can create! Sean

re: Who shot Mindy? The investigation. Sep 6 2008, 10:01:34 AM
Larry is also mysteriously hiding in the Green Room earlier in the episode- an attempted hit failed when Jeff and Hunter appear after time travelling perhaps? "Larry you scared me" And where does he go after? When they're doing they're 'Thanks for supporting us' speech he COMPLETELY disappears! Sus or what? Can't be Lin- due to timing. If Mindy gets shot just before the Places Call Lin would have to be over at In The Heights preparing to go on
