Can't wait to see her next Sat.
I thought she was excellent in BFO.

I'll just post my review on this thread... seeing as it is the the "Wicked in Chicago" thread.

So I saw the matinee today, and all I can say is Holy SH*T. This is one of the most amazing musicals I've ever seen. I'm not about to become one of the "Wicklynites" but damn. I laughed, I cried, and it was amazing.

Stephanie is ****ing amazing. Oh my God, such power. Plus she is definitley beautiful in all that green. She's a powerhouse and absolutley amazing. I think she far surpassed Miss Menzel in voice comparison. Block should have stayed in the role IMHO. She brought her own to the role. When she entered the stage, you KNEW it. I can't stop raving about this girl!

I saw the understudy for Kendra, and the girl's name was Kate. Now for having second row seats you can get annoyed by someones face. Kate had the weiredest expressions, which may look okay far out but so close it's just damn annoying! She has the whole Elvis snarl going on and it's just like "Stop!" But she has a good voice, great voice. But is a copy cat of Miss Chenowith(weth whatever). She did the same little dips in her voice and a lot of the same singing. Seeing as I've never seen Kristin perform, but her voice sounded ver karaoke style.

Fiyero, was really good. ((I'm sorry I don't have the program with me so I can't give names)) There was so much chemistry between him and Block it was amazing. I'm sitting there thinking "Are they just going to start ripping off clothes and have sex?" But he had a damn good voice and a really nice ass. *cough*

Jenna Leigh Green, I didn't know she could belt that well! Oh my God! I would have never thought of it. Kickest ass. Along with Boq (again, I don't know the name) he was awesome too.

I really don't have any complaints about the cast, the Wizard was excellent as well. I really wanted him to be my Dad, he's one of those people you would want to be your Dad.

Now Madame Morrible... I couldn't understand a word she said all night. Enunciate Woman! She just mumbled, and got on my nerves the whole night.

But I thought the whole thing was amazing. During "Defying Gravity", tears started pouring down my face; as they did in the end (For Good, and so forth). One of my best friends was killed in a Car accident three weeks ago, and I guess a lot of it was symbolic for me. So that's why it got to me a lot. But it was really beautiful.

I LOVED IT! I'm definitley going back to see it again.

Since I live in Toronto, I've never had the pleasure of seeing Idina in action. However, I did see Stephanie Block a couple of weeks ago, and she was absolutely fantastic- I wouldn't say that she was better vocally than Idina, they stand the same.

Block's acting was incredible, though! At first, I thought her movements seemed awkward and misplaced, but then the more I thought, the more I realized that that was perfectly Elphie. Outcast. Scapegoated. She really was brilliant...

As for Jenna Leigh Green- she played Nessa very well. My friends say she was a good Elphaba, but her vibrato was a little too much.

Awesome show...one of the best ever.
