Tiny Tade made his Broadway Billy debut this evening. I wish I could have seen it. Did any of you go?

What they all said.
I was in row A mezz Saturday night and LOVED the show.

re: Liat and Cable.  Mar 23 2008, 10:25:52 PM
Cable was in such pain during "Happy Talk", I'm surprised he heard Bloody Mary or saw Liat's 'Getting To Know You' dance.
re: Sondheim's Bounce--opinions?  Dec 15 2007, 11:34:33 PM
I saw Sweeney three times on Broadway, Pacific Overtures Off Broadway, Chicago Shakespeare and Studio 54. I saw Follies in London and Roundabout. I saw Bounce at The Goodman and just didn't like it. There were no songs in Act I that I liked and there was a song at the beginning of Act II on a train (I think) that I liked and then it ended badly. When the song started I thought OK, here we go, the show is going to get good. And then the song ended with a line something like 'he can kiss my as
re: A Little Priest- New extended Sweeney Todd clip  Dec 9 2007, 01:23:37 PM
And (forgive me for not knowing much about the film) but is the Ballad of Sweeney Todd not in the film?
re: A Little Priest- New extended Sweeney Todd clip  Dec 9 2007, 01:05:14 PM
Yay! From everything I've been reading I was expecting singing on par with Vanessa Redgrave's in CAMELOT.

I liked the clip and CAN'T WAIT!!!

Fabulous Broadway Star!
re: Patti in 'Gypsy' Matinees? (Your thoughts)  Jul 6 2007, 09:48:23 PM
Saw her in a matinee of MASTER CLASS and she was divine!

God that's good!
Thank you Best12.

re: Chicago's Longest Running Broadway Shows- REVISED  Jul 2 2007, 06:29:59 PM
Shear Madness plays downstairs at the Chicago Theatre but I don't know how long it's been running.
re: Katie Holmes wants to star in NINE film  Jul 1 2007, 11:06:29 PM
I think Katie is more 'girl next door.'

re: Katie Holmes wants to star in NINE film  Jul 1 2007, 10:59:34 PM
Is Katie considered dazzlingly beautiful?

Original production was as I said all shapes and sizes and all gorgeous.

re: Katie Holmes wants to star in NINE film  Jul 1 2007, 10:47:21 PM
Shouldn't each woman be extraordinarily beautiful. All shapes and sizes but dazzling? That was my impression especially of the original Bway version.
re: Katie Holmes wants to star in NINE film  Jul 1 2007, 08:31:36 PM
I also trust Rob Marshall (which ever way he goes). He's not disappointed me so far.
I'm thrilled that NINE will have a third life!

re: BALLROOM  Jul 1 2007, 06:50:37 PM
I saw it and loved it.
One of my ballet teachers Dorothy Lister from the Joffrey School was in it.
I would really like to see it again today loving Michael Bennett choreography the way I do.

Hal vs. Madeline  Jul 1 2007, 06:46:17 PM
Kristin would be one hundred times better.
She really should have been nominated for The Apple Tree.

re: I Still Find Mame on Film Charming...  Jul 1 2007, 06:44:33 PM
I love the movie but I never think of Lucy and charming as going together. She acted it well enough and looked great but it's sad that Angela didn't get to do the film.
Hal vs. Madeline  Jul 1 2007, 06:38:49 PM
Could Applegate sing it?

I saw the original Broadway production and I don't remember it as so huge it couldn't be revived.

re: Margaret Hamilton/A Little Night Music  Jun 28 2007, 10:37:59 PM
Didn't see Ms. Hamilton in that role but I did see Glynis Johns in the role of Mme. Armfeldt in a horrid Los Angeles production in the 80s.
