Try Vynl,

It's two blocks away. But they have a Cher bathroom!!!

Posted: 6/14/12 at 6:56pmI've eaten at Azalea a couple times before going to see Wicked. It's right next to the Gershwin (the 51st street entrance)

Posted: 6/14/12 at 8:02pmI usually eat at Azelea when I see GODSPELL. The food and service are excellent--and you're right by the theater.

They're not fancy, but I'm a big fan of Blockheads and Mother Burger (both at New World Plaza). Good prices, and a lot of fun during the summer. Blockheads can get very crowded, but Mother Burger usually has less of a wait and is just across the plaza.
I've only done dessert and drinks at Thalia, but their tiramisu is a favorite of mine.
Vynl is also a good choice. I love their mac'n'cheese.

Posted: 6/15/12 at 10:44amWhen I saw the show on Broadway, I went to a restaurant next door to the Gershwin Theatre on 51st Street. I forget what it was called, but it is kind of a Mexican restaurant (I think). Anyways, it is literally the next door to the right is you are walking out of the Gershwin Theatre drive thru/outside lobby to 51st Street.

Was it Toloache? GREAT Mexican food. A little pricey, but that ain't a bad thing.
Also, if price isn't an issue, you could grab a steak at The Palm.
But I second (or third...or fourth) Azalea and Thalia. Pigalle on 48th and 8th is also lovely pre-theatre.
