Posted: 4/3/05 at 2:35pmSo tickets went on sale this morning. How did everyone do? They only had rear seats in all section for the first few weeks. but I scored Orchestra Row F right in the center for July 26.

Posted: 4/3/05 at 2:45pmI scored tickets in ORCH row L on the isle right off center section! It was crazy by L.A. standards, I'll post pictures of the long line later on...they even handed out free green Krispy Kreme donuts!!

Posted: 4/3/05 at 2:57pmHow cool. That swas my next question to you.. If there were people there.
#3re: WICKED in Los Angeles
Posted: 4/3/05 at 3:00pmYes there were plenty of people there, a few with wicked tshirt. I think most were obviously fans who had seen it a few times in NY...they opened up the box office 1/2 hour early for all of us (unless they anticipated the crowd and changed the schedule).

Posted: 4/3/05 at 9:48pmThe line looks like a lot of fun. The news just had a blur saying tickets went on sale for the "highly anticipated musical this morning" and they shwed people passing out green donuts.

Just got in from a long drive down from Mammoth...thank you guys for all the info...it was awesome to see the line. I walk around the city in my Wicked hat, for the past 5 months, and only one person has recognized what Wicked meant. It is good to see more 'Ozians' out there in LA.
Popular...I will take a green doughnut instead of the burger. Hahaha.

i waited in line for about... an hour.. hour and a half... what i irks me most about people who never go to the theater... is that they have no clue how to buy tickets (my friends always ask me to go with them or buy it for them)... i basically get to the front of the line, tell them all the dates I'm intersted in... and then buy my tickets... i like to do my research so I don't hold up the line... lol

It cost me an extra ten dollars to do it over the Internet but I was able to get Row B (my usual seat 207...for some reason I'm always in house right 207 or the corresponding house left 307, where I saw Mamma Mia, Hairspray, Les Miz, and Movin' Out...I swear, Ticketmaster always offers me that seat! I see the show at an angle, but I don't mind at all.) Anyway, I'm very glad I waited till today rather than attempt to do it during the presale, and after seeing the picture of that line, I'm also glad I did it online. I was done by 10:10 if not before. It was worth paying the extra charges for the convenience, and I'm seeing it in the second row, so I am not complaining. Tuesday, July 19th. I figured the last two weeks would be the best because those tickets didn't go on sale until today, and I was right. I'm seeing it in New York on June 23, so it will be fun and interesting to compare the two casts, plus the NY cast I saw last September. Good that everyone is happy!
