Ahhhh, yes. Staying in bed was a tempting thought but then you wouldn't have had the lovely pictures :) And Laurel Canyon DOES sucks now but 101 took me no time at all :) I'm in the studio city area so I'm about 15 minutes away.

Yes, I do appreciate the pictures, the next best thing to being there, plus as Popular and Shira and I always seem to be seeing the same shows, now we can find each other in a crowd. And Dame, congrats on getting in the center section. Luckily, I don't mind being on the side, but you got overall the best seating of all!!!

The side section of that theater is great. You probaly have about the same seats I do.

Dame, you're so sweet to make that last post! I've sat in that very same seat before and very much enjoyed it, especially when I look back...way back...to the farthest extremes of the deepest caverns of the Pantages and think how lucky I am to be up close (and I didn't have to pay an agency double for my seat!!!)

eslgr, you can definitely find me - and oftentimes, I'll be there with a camera, making it even easier for you and everyone else! Yay - it looks to be a good spring/summer for theater, especially with the Hollywood Bowl.

eslgr8,
You are right. in the Pantages it is better to be up close than in the back in the center. It is so big ( even though with Wicked I am sure that wont be bad either). I sat in row b all the way to the extreme side for Peter Pan. I thought I would hate those seats. But I loved them. It gave me a unique perspective to the show.

Ticketmaster. As an FYI, it's almost always ticketmaster for anything in Los Angeles, or either ticketmaster or telecharge for anything in NYC.

The advantage of ordering online is that I can quickly see the "best" seats for a number of different performances in a very short time, with the seating chart in front of me (I find one online and print it out). I can do this much faster than it would take me over the phone or waiting in line. The disadvantage with Ticketmaster is that you can only go with "their" seat selection. Still, I've found this the fastest way to get a really good seat, and the easiest for me.

Does anyone know what is the best way to get tickets away from Ticketmaster and the "wicked" ticket brokers? Is there a Los Angeles ticket exchange for shows in our area? Help a brother out!!

You can go straight to the box office. Or try Ebay. The run is very near sold out. i wouldn't wait much longer.

I sat in row w once and didn't enjoy it as much as I would have wanted too. If you bring somthing to help you see then it would be better. If worst comes to worst W is still in the theatre ~_^

If you haven't bought your ticket yet, and are purchasing online, I recommend that you search for as many dates as you can possibly attend, especially weeknights near the end of the run. Don't settle for a seat till you've seen what's available on the different nights.
