Posted: 9/6/08 at 10:22amI really have no idea how old he is...but I've seen him play Berger twice and never thought he was too old to pull it off. I loved everything that he did. He gives the character so much depth. I loved watching him when he wasn't the focus...seeing what choices he made...during the opening you can see his love of life, that he sees beauty in the sky, the sun, flowers..and he lets the beauty in these things fill him up...and you can see the joy. In contrast, at the end...you can see his pain, his anger, his loss. I also thought he had great chemisty with Claude....especially when they were shaing the joint.

Posted: 9/6/08 at 10:31amI believe Swenson is 35. I think Gerome Ragni was 34 when he played Berger on Broadway, for what it's worth.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

Posted: 9/6/08 at 11:04amFor a show like Hair, I don't really think it matters how old the actors are. It's not a very linear show and not very realistic, so it doesn't bother me how old Will Swenson is because he's so amazing in the role (and sexy).
