King Charles III took the Olivier for Best New Play over Wolf Hall/Bring up The Bodies.... but King Charles III didn't transfer for the current Tony Award season. I think Broadway had filled its quota for British Imports.

saw part 1 a few days ago. I enjoyed it, but idk, the actors are very subtle, and the play is kinda boring. Does anyone know if Part 2 is more exciting? Wondering if I should shell out the 39 dollars to see Bring up the Bodies.

So you are using "subtle" as derogatory? There are executions in Part 2 - is that exciting enough for you?
I have seen this amazing production once and I am about to see both parts again before it closes. If you want to see a fluid, politically astute power drama acted by one of the best ensembles I've ever seen, you need to see this, both parts.
If you miss SPIDERMAN, maybe it isn't your cup of tea.

no i didn't use subtle as derogatory. Idk i think historic, shakespearean-esque plays like this are an acquired taste that i don't have yet. Im used to musicals, plus the lighting is so damn dim lol. But the executions sound interesting so I will probably see Part 2 tomorrow.
any other opinions?

You don't actually see the executions, so don't get your hopes up.

"You definitely should not go."

It's the exact same lauded, award-winning/nominated writing, direction, acting, and design as part one.

Don't get me wrong, both are very good, but Part One takes a considerable amount of time to set up all the parts of the plot, whereas Part Two is nearly all payoff. Still, the whole thing is worth seeing- it's very well directed and designed, and the while Miles, Leonard and (especially) Parker have all received well-deserved praise, the whole ensemble is doing great work on that stage regardless of the size of their roles.

Yes, it's exiting on July 5.
From everything you post, I would have to say that WOLF HALL is definitely not designed with you in mind....

thank you wonderfulwizard!! I will definitely see part 2.
wonkit, i know its not designed with me in mind. I could tell the people around me were loving it, while I was just trying to figure it all out, but like i said, i think plays like this are an acquired taste. I still enjoyed part 1, and I'm looking forward to part 2 :)
Im gonna love plays like this in a few years!!
