WOTV Question

Recently saw WOTV, I read here that at the end of the first act that while Patti is on the rope swing she licks a big red lollipop. Now she is filing her nails instead. Also I thought the 2nd act opens the same way, with the leads on the various ropes, when I saw it the second act didn't open that way. Anyone know why the changes?

When i saw the show, Patti was licking a lollipop at the end of act 1 and thats how act2 started too. (i saw the show in previews)

I think the reason that it changed is the song "Madrid" start the 2nd act and (i think) it is now moved to the top of act 1.

Danny Burstein came on, saw all the women hanging from ropes and started singing about how much he loved the city. Yeah, it didn't make much sense...

Lollipop vs filing nails seems so insignificant compared to other problems, I still don't understand why that particular change. Lollipop seems funnier. Going in my expectations were very low. I actually enjoyed the show more than I thought I would. Yes the songs are not great, etc. etc. But there were some good laughs and Patti's and Laura's performances were teriffic. IMHO whenever Patti made an entrance the show seemed to come alive and took on a different feel. I hope Laura is nominated for a Tony.

I saw the original version of the show (Madrid opening act 2) twice. I could swear the nail file always closed act 1, and we didn't see the lollipop until the opening of act 2. It was HILARIOUS though.

Does Patti really file her nails now? I saw it two weeks ago and could've sworn she was "swinging" with both hands holding onto either side of the rope, while laughing and wiggling her toes at the audience in the first few rows?

Perhaps I missed it.

That's about what she was doing when I saw it three weeks ago. She was clearly delighted, giggling and leaning back and kicking her feet. I was also pretty impressed that she was hoisted up the highest (she was even with the balcony).

Hmmm. I know I've definitely seen her with the nail file. But I also recall her swinging and kicking her feet.

She definitely wasn't filing her nails when I saw it. Just swinging back and forth.

Saw Rachel Bay Jones tonight. She definitely only swung back and forth, no nail file.

But I know I have definitely seen Patti with a a nail file before. Hmmm.
