Hopefully most of you @$$holes out there will be pleased with the cast and won't bitch about the show.
ATC is already having a discussion on this.
BROADWAY ACROSS AMERICA is one of the lead producers. It's natural that it would tour. I doubt it's JUST for Tony purposes.

DCR, how are "we" "assholes"? We're stating our opinions, and in fact, nobody has been particularly vitrolic or mean about the show. I, personally, did not like it, but LOVED Karen Olivo.

I can't imagine Karen Olivo will follow up two big roles in two smash shows (and possible a Tony) with the tour of West Side Story.
Any word on whether they tour will feature the dumbed-down America choreography or the real thing?
And what about the Dream Ballet?
I would think if Arthur found an Anita he liked and could dance the real America choreography, it will be used. I wouldn't be surprised if Bianca Marroquin was cast as Anita on the tour. Apparently she came close to the role on Broadway. She could do the original choreography for sure.
But I'm sure the Nightmare will still be cut...

So if Hair doesn't announce a tour will West Side Story surly win the Tony for best revival?
Not at all. But remember AVENUE Q?
And didn't the same thing happen with the PAJMA GAME revival? Or did they announce a tour after it won Best Revival?
