how big is it? Is it worth sitting in the middle level, section 202, row P? I'm going there at the end of January and want to know if I need binoculars, how it is, what your opinions are of it and everything. Thanks everyone :)
Are you by chance going to see Kathy Griffin?
I saw the damned Wintuk...the theatre is big, but it is very wide and it has a low ceiling. It feels like a giant dinner theatre. It really does - the ceiling even has this gaudy strip lighting.
p.s. - the seats are the most UNCOMFORTABLE seats in the universe. I felt like I should have been taking the SAT or ACT in them... you'll see when you arrive.
I sat over there once when Peter Pan was playing there a few years ago. I hated it (the seats, not the show!). I felt like I was watching the show on television- that's how disconnected from the action onstage I was. People were coming in and out, the food sellers were up and down the aisles, and no one was quiet. As for the view, you are not high up, but far, far, away.
I don't know what the price structure for your performance is like, but after my experience at Peter Pan, I wanted to really enjoy Rigby's performance one last time (since it was the "farewell tour"), so I bought one of the "premiere" seats, which at the time were *only* $100. I had a much happier experience, and enjoyed the show a lot more.

It's not a horrible concert venue, where you expect to be a bit far away from the band, the sound is really all that matters, and people can go up and down the aisles. As a theatre venue, though, it's pretty horrible. I wouldn't recommend it for anything. Even the closest seats feel strangely removed from everything. This really should fix the place up.

I saw Kathy Griffin there last night and I sat in 300 Row A and I felt very far away. I ended up watching the screen most of the night. Definately bring binoculars if you want to see her face clearly.
If you got to thegarden.com you can find the seating chart, which has pictures from each section of the theater to give you a decent idea.
I'm going to see Kathy Griffin tomorrow night. Could someone please tell me where the stage door located? I'd love to get an autograph or picture.
Thanks in advance!

I would assume the "stage door" would be on 33rd between 7th and 8th but closer to 8th. There's an awning and that's usually where all the players from MSG come out if they don't get right onto the bus in the loading dock. There's also a chance since she could come right out the front but I wouldn't count on that

I was there for the NBA draft, sat front row of the rear section on the right. Those guys are 7 feet tall and I could barely see them.
