Waitress - Cheap Resale

I accidentally bought tickets for Waitress for this Saturday (May 7, 8p)  instead of the Saturday that I wanted - don't ask late night ticket buying. I put them up for resale on Ticketmaster so you know they are legit & I'm selling them below my cost 

Two seats, but not together (but close).

You paid more than $171 for those seats? With fees you're asking for $200 a ticket. I would suggest lowering your price if you're looking to sell - or, at least change the subject line and remove the word "cheap", especially since you can get better seats for face value for cheaper.

Well I paid face value - for the tickets - I'm not getting $171 - you can thank ticketmaster for the extra fees.

Ok, well, when someone goes to buy your resale tickets, the price per ticket comes to $200. You can buy them online on ticketmaster right now, for face value, for less money than that. There are also a few discount codes floating around which would lower the price even more. I would suggest changing the title of your thread if you're not willing to lower your price because it is misleading :)

" Just went to check, Ticketmaster would only let me lower it another $2, which I did. So I guess they are what they are at this point.

Yeah, I tried to lower them and they told me I had to stay above a certain amount.  Maybe because the theater still has some premium tickets available.  Not sure.

I had the same problem when I tried to sell an extra ticket to Waitress. I was willing to take a loss on how much I got for the ticket but it wouldn't let me go below a certain amount. With the big resale fees it was higher than face value. I assumed they do it to avoid losing sales themselves.

Even if the show is sold out, I don't think they'll let you sell below face value. After all, they and the producers) are more interested in selling THEIR tickets rather than yours..

 

To the OP:  If this ever happens again, call TM and explain, most of the time, they WILL allow you to exchange them. You must get still try, they can probably pull them off of resale
