Having seen both...Miss Saigon, definitely.
Better story, great show, excellent cast and music.
Waitress is good...but cheesy and honestly I can't stand the voice of who is playing Jenna now.

Definitely Miss Saigon. Saw Waitress recently, i enjoyed the story but I really find the score lacking, other than "She used to be Mine", I didn't find any other song that was memorable.
Miss Saigon, while not perfect was very good. Beautiful score, wonderful acting.

I just saw Miss Saigon on Sunday. It was amazing. Much better than the original. I've also seen Waitress multiples at A.R.T. and on Broadway waits Jessie Meuller and Sara Bareilles. You can't compare the two. Waitress is a lot smaller musical whereas Miss Saigon is grand and heavy. I would go with Miss Saigon since it closes in January. If you do see Miss Saigon, be sure to catch it with Eva.
