I adore this idea and the pink looks great! Hopefully we get a picture of Betsy in the pink... https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/Photo-Coverage-WAITRESS-Unveils-Pink-Costumes-for-Breast-Cancer-Awareness-Month-20170927
Personally not a fan of the “pinkifying” of things for breast cancer awareness, but they do look good.

For some reason, in pink I think they look more like nurses' uniforms but great for them for supporting this cause. This is unrelated to the clues about the stethoscope and guitar, right?

Correct. Those clues are related to the announcement of Mraz joining the show, which is coming tomorrow.

May I ask why? Simply curious, and an educational opportunity. Feel free to PM me if that is preferable.

Wow, you're right. They absolutely look like nurses.

It is a complicated subject - a great way to educate, truly, but here's a rundown of why pinkwashing is frowned upon by many: https://thetruthaboutcancer.com/susan-g-komen-pink-ribbon-facade/
Two women in my life are living with breast cancer. They don't frown upon the symbolism of pink in its various forms, and neither do I. "Thank You" Waitress Ladies!

I personally love them! While it doesn't work for all shows (unrelated, but since a portion of the show is covered in pink anyway, can Barnaby and Cornelius get pink suits too?), it looks lovely here. I love how they're supporting this, it's pretty unique
Count me as another one who's sick of the pinkifying. (My mother is a breast cancer survivor, and she HATES it.) I appreciate the good intentions and I would never run anyone down for it, but I'm just not a fan. Here's another article about it: https://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/31/health/breast-cancer-awareness-pink.html
My mother's a survivor and is always happy to see it when people show their support. It's nice to see them do this and the costumes look lovely.
While I applaud any method that raises awareness, Waitress missed the mark in September. That is Ovarian cancer month and a cancer that has no screening for early detection. Because of no screening and detection in later stages, women need to be made aware of this silent killer. Since both are related to women's health, teal in September and pink in October would have been the way to go.

I don't know if it's still easily available but check out the documentary Pink Ribbons, Inc. It's not fantastic (the interviews are kind of poorly edited and repetitive) but it sums up the problem and brings up some interesting points that I'd never considered like how calling people who have survived breast cancer fighters implies that those who passed away weren't fighting hard enough or lack some strength of will or moral character.
