War Horse Is On A Gallop!

Glad to see the New London has a hit show, I do wonder if the National's Christmas show Nation is a hit then a West End transfer will occur although I think it's more likely they'll have a return engagement.

Is a Broadway transfer on the cards, I think it would be suited to The Circle in the Square but the failure of Coram Boy may put producers off.

I haven't seen War Horse yet but I am hoping to see it in the next few weeks, I've seen most of the National Christmas shows from His Dark Materials and Coram Boy and am looking forward to Nation this year.

If the Circle in the Square, how about the Vivian Beaumount at Lincoln Centre although I doubt South Pacific is going to close any time soon.

'At the New London, the National Theatre?s adaptation of War Horse has added five months to it schedule. After two seasons on the South Bank, where it premiered in October 2007, it transferred to the West End, opening on 3 April 2009 (previews from 28 March) and originally booking until 26 September 2009 only (See News, 18 Dec 200. In May, after a record-breaking week of sales of over £330,000, it recouped its transfer costs. The show is now booking through to 12 February 2010.'

It sounds strange, but War Horse has a sort of dignity about it. There it is, doing great, not feeling the need to shout about its success. It just sits there, troubling no-one, just raking in the moolah. Bloody deserved too.

Note to self: Lovepigeon, go and see War Horse again. Take tissues this time.
