Forgive me if there is another post on this topic, I did a search and couldn't find anything. I also looked it up nothing.
My question is to be involved with wardrobe on Broadway do you have to be a member of the union? Is it like Actors with equity and non equity?

Posted: 8/11/18 at 3:37pmIt’s different than Equity in that you don’t join as soon as you book a contract on Broadway. You earn work hours and once you’ve accumulated a certain amount or have a full-time position, you join the union. It’s a very hard union to break into because a lot of those full-time wardrobe positions are filled by long-timers and everyone else is generally a freelance swing. (As an example, my roommate is in the union and was recently juggling 3 shows and still wasn’t doing all 8 shows a week.)
