Just saw THE FLICK tonight. The the guys seemed slightly miscast (Nicole Rodenburg was perfect and excellent). Was the original cast better?

Haven't seen the new cast, but the original cast was great. If I'm not mistaken, the role of Sam was written with Matthew Maher in mind, so it'd be hard for him not to be perfect for it.

I actually thought that Kyle Beltran was better than Aaron Clifton Moten. I felt his performance was more fully realized and that he communicated the character's depression better. I haven't seen Danny as Sam, so I can't comment on his performance (Matt Maher was perfection both times I saw the play). Louisa Krause and Nicole Rodenburg were both excellent as Rose.

I, too, preferred Beltran. He was fantastic as Avery.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.
