Posted: 6/7/06 at 6:19pmI THINK it will have a PRETTY DECENT run like 1000-1500 performaces maybe....
re: Wedding Singer till when?#5
Posted: 6/7/06 at 6:22pmI think that's a bit too high. I'd say 841. Card Sharks, anyone?!

Posted: 6/7/06 at 6:25pmi dont think even think 841...maybe 150-250 shows total...I really dont think it'll run THAT long

Posted: 6/7/06 at 6:47pmPast tennants of this same theatre, such as "Sweet Charity", only made over 600.000 twice during its entire run, and it still ran for nearly a year.

Well, Sweet Charity sucked. It didn't deserve to even make that much.
I hope that Wedding Singer stays around long enough for me to see it when I go to NYC at least!

Posted: 6/7/06 at 6:53pmI think 2 years for the Wedding Singer is about right. The parade of American Idol contestants taking over this show is just around the corner. . I'd bet there's already an offer out to Katharine McPhee.

re: Wedding Singer till when?#13
Posted: 7/22/06 at 10:29pmWow. I never thought about Katharine McPhee doing Spamalot. She'd be a lovely Lady of the Lake.

I hope it lasts for quite a while. If Charity can last as long as it did, Singer can at least that long. AT LEAST.
I want to it be on long enough for me to see my dream cast of Cara as Holly and Tina as Julia. That might take a while!

it's a "soft" show
Sept will be hard for it.
and the wolves will gather for The Hirshfeld.
are you counting Previews Little?

Posted: 7/23/06 at 12:18amBroadway_show_fan, today's matinee, Cara and Tina were both on! I saw it today for the first time. I thought Cara gave a good performance, though I was disappointed not to see Amy. Tina was a great actress, but a subpar singer. Overall I thought the show was very entertaining, though certainly not perfect. I give about till February.

i dont know if they're counting previews or not, stephen lynch announced it after tonights show... possibly.
i think sept will be rough and we might see a closing sept./oct.
it has a great young teen following right now, but once school starts up that audience will not be as available.
also... future sales aren't so amazing, but they're doing great day-of.
we shall see soon enough

I applaud Stephen's performance and attendance in this show.
The Actresses seem to Miss a lot, all three Leading ladies should be ashamed.

You guys are not making this sound very good.
I just got the thumbs up that i'll be able to go back to NYC for spring break next year.
Stop with the negativity, guys. Let's cheer up. :)
I'm crossing fingers for a nice, lengthy run.
