Hello,
I was wondering if any show has a wednesday matinee at 1, or actually anytime before 2. I have a flight to catch at 5:30 and was hoping to catch some kind of show in the morning (broadway or off-broadway). I was thinking of maybe God of Carnage at 2 since it is only 90 minutes but do you think I could make it to JFK for a 5:30?
Thanks!!!

Your flight is at 5:30pm? You'd have to be at JFK by 4pm since many carriers (not all) require you be checked in 90 minutes prior. Unless you're flying international.
GoC gets out at 3:30. With NYC traffic do you feel comfortable you'll get to JFK in half an hour?

You could reasonably get to JFK in an hour either by subway or taxi, though it doesn't leave much room for error (you'll beat the rush hour crowd, at least). Personally, I wouldn't be able to enjoy the show with that stress hanging over me, but not everyone is as high strung as me.
eta: Eris, true, but a lot of airlines allow for online check in which you really don't have to be at the airport until 30 minutes before the flight, especially if you're not checking luggage.

Also, an afternoon flight out of JFK is almost certain to be delayed, especially if we're talking about this Wednesday, when the weather isn't supposed to be great.
So -- it's a risk, and not one I'd personally take, but the show's certainly worth seeing, so...depends on how lucky you feel!

I'm going to concur with Calvin. Personally, I'd rather be delayed at the airport than miss the chance to check my luggage and have to throw stuff out because it can't be brought onto the plane.
Besides, if the weather is as bad as we're being told good luck getting a taxi in the theatre district in the rain. That's not always easy.

I had to change from former Phillie Jason Michaels to Harry. I just had to.
I had Comcast SportsNet on from the moment I got home from work until just a few minutes ago. I've been crying on and off all night. Other people crying is a huge trigger for me. Seeing Michael Barkan, anchor for CSN, sitting at the news desk barely able to hold it together just set me off. Then they interviewed Larry Anderson and he was crying. I just fell apart.

I was watching the pregame festivities at the Rays/Yankees game and when they did the moment of silence and put the camera on Pat Burrell I lost it.
Larry Anderson is the one that was with him trying to revive him. He died doing what he loves which is what I think he would have wanted.
He was calling the game tonight for the young Angel that had passed away a few days before. :)

Oh, Patsy. Did he seem emotional?
That's what I've been hearing all night. Harry lived and died at the ballpark and that was how he wanted to go.
