Just the same thread I done a couple of weeks ago, to find out if anyone went to see any shows last week or anyone going this week?
I have certainly seen my share of shows this week.
Monday I went to see the excellent Sweet Charity again, where Tamzin Outhwaite gives another brilliant performance, Mark Umbers was out.
Thursday I saw Hair for the matinee, I am getting to like Hair, but still drags in the middle.
Thursday Evening I checked out All My Sons, yeap a play, but as everyone on here and the media raved about it, I thought I give it a go and yes it was very good, David Suchet and Zoe Wanamaker were excellent.
Friday I went to see Enron, intrigued to see this show as it is well liked, but wanted to see why it closed on Broadway so quickly, I enjoyed it, first half better than the second.
The Donmars production of 'Piaf' in Madrid (in the same theatre you saw 'Grease' at, POL). Elenor Rogers was again simply amazing and the show has sold out every night since April and it closes tonight.
Also to the premiere of a new Spanish musical movie in an open air cinema. Great fun with lots of free flowing free champagne and tapas!
Hope you enjoy Spamalot, Matt. One of my best mates and composing partner (Kit Orton) is in the cast. If you happen to see him at stage door etc, say hello from me!

I saw both parts of Henry IV and was WELL PLEASED with them both. They were both fantastically well done and I had a whale of a time. <3 <3 <3 I also saw The Beauty Queen of Leenane which was a very good production of a very good play, but I was slightly put off by the audience being so very very giggly. I know it was a black comedy, but you'd expect the laughter to wane at least a little during the blacker moments. O_O
This week I am seeing La Bete, The Duchess of Malfi, and Anne Boleyn. I am hoping at least one of them will turn out truly splendid. Fingers crossed!
The only show I've been able to get to see in the past few weeks was a local amateur youth company producxtion of Jason Robert Brown's "13" in Swansea. I saw the show on Broadway a couple of years ago and it blew me away - the score is seriously brilliant. And the kids last week did a great job - really enjoyed it.
Won't be seeing anything else for another 4 weeks when I get up to Edinburgh (major withdrawal symptoms lol). I would really love to get to Assassins at the Union Theatre but there's just no way I can get to London in the next few weeks.

Im being bored in Sunderland where there is NOTHING to do! I am seriously missing my theatre visits so much. This week, I've watched the entire final series of 24.
When I get back in 2 weeks my mum and I are going to see two shows. One of them will most likely be Hair and the other a play, probably La Bete.
Matt, he's in the Ensemble. But he's also first cover Lancelot, first cover Galahad and second cover Arthur! (he's been on as Lancelot a few times already)

Lancelot is played by Graham MacDuff, husband of Anna-Jane Casey (who is also first cover Arthur) and Galahad is played by the awesome Simon Lipkin. Unfortunately so far on tour Simon has been in incredibly good health LOL.

Hope you get a copy of the new Les Mis CD soon, Matt. Strangely enough, I have a friend in the Les Mis tour cast too - in the Ensemble and first cover Eponine/Fantine (she was in the cast of my show, My Land's Shore, in Cardiff 3 years ago).

Her name is Rhiannon Porter. Here's a video clip of her singing Somebody To Love a couple of years ago, when she was just 16. The video is not the best quality but you get an idea of her incredible vocals even then:

Glad everyone who has seen a show has kind of enjoyed it.
Feel sorry for Bob stuck in Swansea and Mark in Swansea, but I know you are both in London soon.
Mama, yes I remember that theatre you got me a ticket to see Grease in Spanish well, lot better production than that croc at The Piccadilly Theatre.
As for me I am at the end of my 4 day long weekend, so back to late turn next week, but hell I finish at 8pm on Friday, say might take a look at Avenue Q then.
