Do you remember how violently opposed people were the to OBC being in the movie in like...October '04? I remember someone saying that Anthony looked 50. Heh. Fun fun times...
It's so...er...close!

i refuse to read any reviews until i see the movie. I almost dont want the day to come when I see it. I mean once it comes, it'll be over..no more monday/wednesday updates or appearances. It'll be kinda sad, dont you think?

Heh when I first joined and lurked out of excitement of this very thread and the OBC being in the movie. Remember reading those arguments, lol.

Wow, that cartoon is hilarious!
About the whole spoilers debate, I've been trying to get as many clips from the RentBlog as possible, but at the same time I'm staying away from people who have been giving detailed step-by-step 'what is happening when' type stuff. That said, I highly doubt that anything could disapoint me. The only way I would NOT like this film is if at the beggining of the movie a caption reads: "Due to last minute changes in casting, the role of Roger will be played by Justin Timberlake..." *shudders*

in light of the amusing cartoon, i thought i'd seize the opportunity to introduce myself...
okay. they have nothing to do with each other, but what the hell, i'll do it anyway.
hi. i'm jill, new to this thread but not to BWW or anthony. erm... that's it.
shiska, if that "last minute cast change" happened, i think i would have to march... somewhere... in protest.

::cries::
I wanted the signed book!!!!!!!! Highly unfair contest.
Us employed people, such as the teachers out there educating today's youth (::points to self::) aren't sitting around checking the RENT blog in the middle of the afternoon!
But, who am I kidding, even if they posted it later I would have missed it. I'm sick and came home from school and went straight to bed for a much needed nap.
Unfortunately I have to sulk my way off to my second job now.

I wanna know if I got the signed book!
I got through, I posted my mailing address AND my e-mail address, and it was accepted............. ... Is it just going to be a complete surprise if I get it or not?
If I do, I'll be sure to read it and post a review in this thread.

Off-topic, but I'm just listening to the RENT soundtrack right now and does anyone else find it kind of baffling as to why Anthony has so little solos in Love Heals? I know I posted a similar topic about this recently and now that it seems I could come to the fairly educated conclusion that none of the improv-solos at the end are Anthony, it would mean that his only bit is "when lifes unfair, when things like us are not to be" with Rosario. It just confuses me a little since everyone else seems to have significantly more amounts of solo pieces. Sorry, I know this sounds kind of nitpicky but I've always been sort of curious about it and would be interested in hearing other people's thoughts on this.

I think that maybe it's because the song is supposed to be gospel-ey, and Anthony's voice isn't that gospel-ey? Or something, I dunno. *shrug*

Yeah that's pretty much what I figured. It's a song that seems to be dependent on very powerful voices to make it at its strongest and I guess I could see how his voice doesn't immediately come across as being as powerful as, say, Adam's or Jesse's. Still, they did some beautiful stuff in there with Rosario's softer voice (I loved her second solo "when your face is salty wet etc.")

Hey, has everyone seen this clip?

I'd give anything to see the movie right now, I can't wait! I even helped convert a non-musical lover into a RentHead! This is the most exciting film ever, I'm gonna need like an entire box of tissues 'cause I cry during the previews.
