i need consoling :'(. I'm so upset, I was supposed to go to virgin megastore tomororw and last minute it just fell apart. It was gonna be my first time ever meeting any of the rent cast and I was looking forward to it and get got my hopes way too high for life, and now i'm such a mess. I was *this* close. I have a ride, but no way to get the passes in the morning. I can't believe this.

*huggles* I'm sorry! :O(
Haha that's awsome! Just had a thought, what if they decided to come out with RENT dolls? Like barbie doll-ish Mark, Roger, Mimi, Angel etc. 0_0 Wonder what that'd look like.....
I was discussing this with Jessi!(Yodallama at LJ). We were gonna make a post about it on Inapropo, but then I lost the convo because my computer DIED. But it involved Mark plushies and life-sized dolls who say phrases when you squeeze them, and then that we were going to hold Mattel hostage till they made them.
it was quite hilarious.
And I heart legos too... and building card castles! My record is 12 stories.

Imagine if the Mark plushie would say when you squeeze it: "Mucho masterbation."

I wanted to get something that an "ex"-junkie like him would really appreciate and cherish....it's a brick of heroin shaped like a heart.

Yeah I know what you mean. But you never know, maybe something will end up working out in the end. And as I said, I'm sure other times to meet the cast and/or Anthony will come around in the future. You never know.

I love how more than half of the top few threads are all Rent related. No wonder people think we're annoying. ^_^

Exactly, RENT pride!
Heh, yeah well we all knew it was coming with the release of the movie getting so close. I imagine by next week the whole board will be overrun by RENT threads. Especially once more press releases, reviews and interviews start surfacing.

Wicked threads = bad.
RENT threads= Good, in moderation. I hope it doesn't get too crazy.

haha...at this point in time there are wayy more RENT threads then Wicked ones! but theres a lot less attacking so clearly not as many people find the RENT ones anywhere near as annoying, definitely a pass to keep posting :]

RENT threads have already been getting too crazy. XD
But, hey, nothing we can do. I'm enjoying it.
...Okay, not really, it just makes me wanna tear my hair out from being unable to see the movie until the 23rd. I could have gone to the benefit screening on the 22nd, but my plane ticket is a day too late.

Well, if things do get bad, I think we're all safe in here.
I gather the annoying thing about the Wicked ones is that they were really repetitive...lets hope that doesn't happen with Rent threads...because that'll annoy me too.

I really want an Anthony plushie...but if made to scale, would not be very fluffy as our dear boy has a (while very sexy) very scrawny body...an Adam plushie would have muscles to plushie-ify...
I want a Barbie-Mark. I have old Ken clothes...he could wear the suit and tango, or the white 80s suit...

2. Great buckets of Spoffnor, they're going to sing!
3. "I love shrubs that are historical." -Johnny and The Sprites
4. "We're not singing it to you, we're singing it for us." -Rosario Dawson, about La Vie Boheme
5. "The best moments in reading are when you come across something - a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things - which you had thought special and particular to you. And now, here it is, set down by someone else, a person you have never met, someone even who is long dead. And it is as if a hand has come out, and taken yours." -The History Boys
6. "Pass the parcel. That's sometimes all you can do. Take it, feel it and pass it on. Not for me, not for you, but for someone, somewhere, one day. Pass it on, boys. That's the game I want you to learn. Pass it on." -The History Boys

Hey they make Olsen Twin dolls and Spice Girl dolls, hell even Disney channel dolls, they can certainly make RENT dolls. Who am I kidding, I'd probably buy them if they are well made. :-P
And as for the Wicked threads, I honestly don't get why they're bashed so much. Sure if its just something insanely stupid that was probably posted for the sake of being annoying "ie: OMFG, Idina is like sooooo hawt, luv her as Elphie!!!" etc well then yeah I can see annoyance, but for the most part its usually someone asking a justifiable question about the show or an actor in it and getting bashed for it. I dunno, it just doesn't make alot of sense to me since we do that all the time with RENT, and alot of other musicals or shows that we want to know about and its considered perfectly alright. Sorry, very random ramble, but I've just never really understood the whole hatred behind Wicked threads.
