Oh, sweet god, WHY do I not live in NYC? There is no justice in a world where I could have seen Sherie and Norbert do that show for $10. Why why whyyy?

I know! $10! I feel your pain.

They need to have Anthony, Norbert, and Sherie all do it together!
That would be worth missing finals for.

And the version with Anthony was $15. It makes me want to curl up and cry.

Bless cheap tickets.

They are only a blessing if you live near enough to actually get them.
Speaking of Anthony and workshops, anyone know anything at all about that one he was talking about on the Fredi thread a few days ago? Pretty Dead Girl, I think it was called? Or was that a reading... something like that.

I was born in OHIO. I think I'm worse off... for political reasons if nothing else. But we can both lament our distance from NYC together!

Lol. Allie, I do love Canada honestly, I do. But i miss Broadway and the flashy lights.

I LOVE BOTH VERSIONS OF FEELING ELECTRIC... didn't see either one.
Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you're up to

Wait, wait, wait...what was $15 to see Anthony? This thread grew so much since this afternoon, I suck at keeping up.
Just came back from seeing Rent for my 4...and 1/2th time. Still so good, but...I have to stop seeing it so late at night because I was almost wanting to fall asleep there tonight! And I was thinking to myself, "stop it! you can't get sleepy watching rent!" ....not once have i gotten emotional watching the movie, which annoys me. i cried heavily a few years ago when i saw it on the stage....and EVEN was crying when I watched the damn trailer one or two months ago. But not with the movie itself. ...But I think I'm just feeling very numb about loss right now, that's probably why I guess.
Good news, my mom got a job today! She's been unemployed since January. January!! So that's lifted a lot of stress from our shoulders...I just felt like sharing. Ok goodnight to you all.

"I would rather take a flawed movie that has as much heart and passion and life and joy and energy and truth in it as this film does over any film that is completely perfectly presented and perfectly constructed but has none of that heart and life." -Anthony Rapp

When Anthony was workshopping Feeling Electric, the tickets were only $15. I'm angsting over how ridiculously far away from NYC I am.
And congrats about your mom! I know my mom went through something similar... That's awesome!

I didn't like Sherie at first (off of recordings, not lucky enough to see her live). But she's *really* grown on me. I mean, her voice isn't flashy at all. And yet, there's such strength to it. I'd better stop before I start to drool. And congrats to your mom.
"`I grow old... I grow old... I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.` What does that mean, Mr. Marlowe?"
"Not a bloody thing. It just sounds good."
He smiled. "That is from the `Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.` Here's another one. `In the room women come and go/Talking of Michael Angelo.' Does that suggest anything to you, sir?"
"Yeah -- it suggests to me that the guy didn't know very much about women."
"My sentiments exactly, sir. Nonetheless I admire T. S. Eliot very much."

It was even more painful knowing you could've gotten tickets, but alas you were stuck in PA at college. *cries*

Don't worry, Anthony, you're worth much more than $15 to us, it's just that we're poor students!

Emcee, when did you develop this Adam Arm obsession?

When I saw him half-naked in AIDA?
Actually, probably not, since I can't say I took interest in him right off the bat. But he has AMAZING ARMS.

Did you look at the arms, StageWhore? It's difficult NOT to!

I should add that I have a thing for arms to begin with.

Oh, I'll admit he has fabulous arms. But I'm much more of a back muscle girl.
